Once again the sad and painful truth of what our government thinks of us has reared it's head.

The Japanese tell the public "no big deal". Right up to the point where the explosions drown out the lies and toxic clouds block the sun. Provincially the Liberals tell us "it can't happen here", while the Cons tell us federally that politics will take a back seat during these distressing times.

They know that if the conversation isn't slightly deflected the full force will sprout into a public discussion. Not being able to control or moderate that dialogue would be disastrous for them.

We might, in a moment of clarity, ask the right questions, and expect common sensical answers.

Time will once again temper the situation and the veil of abstraction will lull us into our secure little coccoons. Until the next time!
